鞠逸凡 (Yifan Ju) — Born and raised in Shanghai, China.

I'm passionate about well-structured, logically elegant, and abstract systems. I am particularly fascinated by robotics and exploring how intelligent systems can interact with the physical world. While I'm still discovering my exact career path, I'm driven by the desire to build systems that think rigorously and create real-world impact.

Projects

RemedaAI / Polaris

Worked on the backend of RemedaAI's clinical platform. Built an LLM-based Clinical Extraction Pipeline that turns encounter transcripts and SOAP notes into structured clinical data, with a background job queue for extraction tasks. Developed Transcript Management APIs that work with both OpenMRS and FHIR-based EHR systems, including authorization, patient consent, and audit logging. Investigated the MIMIC-IV data ingestion pipeline and fixed metadata synchronization and large-scale SQLite cleanup problems.

RemedaAI / Ego

Worked on RemedaAI's local-first digital health record app, where patients can keep and manage their health information on their own device. Helped bring the existing React and TypeScript web app to Android and iOS using Capacitor. Implemented Android system navigation and tested core app features across both mobile platforms.

MyMonitoringTool

A Linux system monitoring tool written in C that displays real-time memory usage, CPU usage, CPU core count, and maximum frequency. It reads system data from /proc and /sys filesystems, uses pipes and forked child processes for concurrent data collection. Features signal handling for Ctrl-C/Ctrl-Z, customizable command-line arguments for sample count, interval, and monitoring components.

Toronto Bike Demand Prediction

Led a team-based project on predicting station-level hourly bike demand using Toronto Bike Share data (2021-2024). Implemented data preprocessing and feature engineering pipeline in Python with temporal and lag-based features. Built a Linear Regression baseline model and conducted model evaluation. Coordinated task allocation and contributed to report writing.
